Never Stop Learning
For a young undergrad, it was a tough choice between Elementary Education and Graphic Design. Ultimately in 2005, I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in Education - with minors in Studio Art and Graphic Design.
From 2005 to present, my experience and insight in a variety of K-12 classrooms have allowed me to remap my educational journey for the second time. In August of 2015, I received my Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Educational Technology Integration. In August of 2016, I will graduate with a Masters of Education in Learning, Design, and Technology from Pennsylvania State University.
My experience includes 10 years of designing, delivering, and evaluating theory and taxonomy-based lesson plans. Making connections between learning the content and reaching the students with both systematic design and positive rapport are some of my greatest strengths.
Graduate school has brought me many new insights into the Constructivist learning theory and associated design frameworks with the ADDIE model. I now have strong foundations in both practices - theoretical and applied.

Integration of education & design
Bringing education and design together requires a person to take on many different roles and perspectives. Optimism, Experimentalism, and Collaboration is a part of my daily routine and as many designers might admit, I am never quite satisfied with the status quo.
I have the skills and confidence to be a successful designer, developer, and evaluator in any situation. Problem solving, designing solutions, and innovative products in Learning Design is my passion.
